Universal Mechanic Workstation

v1.0.0 Updated July 2026 Qbox

One polished NUI for every service shop on your server — repair, performance tuning, and full cosmetic customization with server-authoritative pricing and persistent mods for player-owned vehicles.

Universal Mechanic Workstation is the single mechanic UI for the whole server — Benny’s, dealership service bays, tuner garages, roadside vans. Seven benches cover everything: Dashboard, Repair Assessment, Repair & Service, Performance, Wheels & Tyres, Body Kit, and Paint & Style. All locations open the same NUI, and other resources can open it with a single export.

Features

  • Repair Assessment — per-system condition grades, four-corner tyre check, 0–100 score, and an itemised repair order that only quotes flagged systems (it even tells you whether full or itemised repair is cheaper).
  • Full service menu — engine/body repair, jump-start, fix tyres, recover/flip, wash, pressure detail, reset-to-stock.
  • Performance ladders (A → S) for engine, transmission, brakes, suspension — plus armour, ECU tune, race kit, turbo, tyre smoke.
  • Complete cosmetics — wheels, body kit, respray, plate styles, tint, neon, xenon, liveries, stereo.
  • Authoritative pricing — the server re-derives every charge from config.lua; the UI can never spoof a price.
  • Owned-vehicle persistence via qbx_vehicles, with a plate-based fallback.
  • Works on any nearby vehicle — takes network control so mechanics can service customer cars.
  • Per-shop branding: title, tagline, and an accent colour that recolours the whole UI live.

Repair Assessment

Full diagnostic with per-system grades, tyre check, 0-100 score, and an itemised repair order that quotes only what is broken.

Performance Tuning

Engine, transmission, brakes and suspension level ladders from A to S, plus turbo, ECU tune and full race kit.

Full Cosmetics

Body kits, wheels, respray, plate styles, tint, neon, xenon, liveries and stereo — applied instantly with a toast.

Server-Side Prices

The NUI only displays prices; every charge is re-derived from config.lua on the server.

Persistent Mods

Player-owned vehicles save via qbx_vehicles (falls back to writing the mods blob by plate).

Multi-Shop Ready

One config entry per shop for blip, press-E marker and ox_target zone — plus an export to open it from any resource.

Installation Steps

  1. Extract rr-mechanic into your resources folder
  2. Add 'ensure rr-mechanic' after ox_lib, qbx_core and qbx_vehicles
  3. Set your shop branding and prices in config.lua
  4. Add one Config.Locations entry per physical shop (blip + marker + optional ox_target)
  5. Restart and open with /mechanic
