The whole course, playable properly. Nine holes of stroke play on the tees and pins Rockstar actually shipped, with a real ball flight model and putting that breaks off the terrain underneath it.
The course is where Rockstar put it
Every tee and pin comes from the game’s own golf data rather than being placed by hand, so the holes sit exactly where they should. Par 36, with hole lengths, tee headings and teeing-ground sizes from the same source. No MLO needed — it runs on the course, props and animations already in the base game.
A swing worth practising
Classic three-click meter: start, power, strike. Early closes the face and draws it, late opens it and fades it, and missing the third click duffs it. Every club has its own forgiveness window, so a driver punishes a sloppy strike far harder than a wedge does.
Twelve clubs plus a putter, each one’s speed and launch angle solved so its carry reads its stated yardage and its trajectory matches a real shot of that loft. The ball is properly simulated with quadratic drag, backspin lift, side spin for slice and hook, and wind that enters as an airspeed offset, so a headwind both shortens and steepens the shot.
Putting that breaks
Two clicks, not three. A putter has no face angle, so a putt never curves off the strike and the line is entirely your call. What it does do is break, read from the real terrain along the line and weighted toward the cup where the ball is slowest. Ram one too hard and it lips out.
Lies and hazards with nothing to place
There are no bunker or water volumes to set up. Water is found by probing for water, bunkers by reading the ground material, the green by distance to the pin and the fairway by distance from the tee-to-pin line. Each lie has its own strike penalty, spray, bounce and run-out, so a green holds a shot, a fairway runs it on and a bunker kills it dead.
Water costs a stroke and drops you at the last dry ground. Out of bounds is stroke and distance. A pick-up maximum stops anyone being stuck on a hole.
