Glass HUD

v1.0.0 Updated July 2026 Qbox

A glass-style HUD for Qbox servers — frosted-glass activity rings for player status, an analog speedo + RPM cluster, a glass compass with street names, stress system, and a full in-game settings menu.

Glass HUD is a full replacement for qbx_hud with a clean frosted-glass aesthetic. Player status renders as activity rings — health, armor, hunger, thirst, stress, oxygen, voice/radio, armed, parachute, engine, harness, nitro, cruise — each individually set to always-show or dynamic fade. Vehicles get an analog instrument cluster with speedometer, RPM tach arc, gear indicator, fuel bar, seatbelt warning, and an altitude readout in aircraft.

Features

  • Status rings with per-ring always-show / dynamic behavior, configured from the in-game menu.
  • Analog vehicle cluster — 240-top speedo, RPM tachometer, gear, fuel, seatbelt, aircraft altitude.
  • Glass compass with cardinal ticks, street/crossroad names, and camera- or player-heading modes.
  • Minimap control — square or circle, borders, on-foot or vehicle-only, cinematic letterbox mode.
  • Money HUD with cash/bank change popups plus /cash and /bank commands.
  • Stress system with shooting/speeding gain, blur/ragdoll effects, and optional LEO exemption.
  • Settings menu on the I key — every choice persists per player via KVP.
  • Performance modes (30fps Optimized or real-time Synced), 20 locales, drop-in qbx_hud event compatibility.

Speedometer, RPM tach arc, gear indicator, fuel bar, seatbelt warning and aircraft altitude readout.

Cardinal ticks, street and crossroad names, pointer and degrees; follows camera or player heading.

In-Game Settings

Press I to open the menu — every option persists per player via KVP. Two performance modes.

qbx_hud Compatible

Listens to the same hud:client:* events, so resources built for qbx_hud keep working.

Installation Steps

  1. Stop or remove qbx_hud (or any other HUD) from your server.cfg
  2. Extract rr-hud into your resources folder
  3. Add 'ensure rr-hud' after qbx_core and ox_lib
  4. Restart the server — players open the settings menu with I
  5. Live-tune positions with /hudmap and /hudrings, then bake the values into the config

  • qbx_core
